As you guys probably know by now, we're huge Sounders FC fans. Dustin has had season tickets for six years and we've been going to games together since we first met. Here's us at our first match:
Parking at the games is both difficult and expensive, ranging from $20 - $40 for just a few hours so finding alternate transportation to the game is a must. We've tried everything from light rail to bus to walking to riding our own bikes but hands down the fastest, easiest and most fun way to get to the game is with Pronto Cycle Share.
We're lucky enough to have a station right outside our house so we hop on there and head down the hill towards the stadium. We don't have to worry about if the bus will be on time (which they never are in Seattle), if traffic will be bad or if our bikes will be safe parked outside Century Link Field. We ride rain or shine since the bikes all have chain guards and fenders keep you riding clean. Another plus to riding Pronto is that if you have too much fun at the game you don't have to worry about driving or getting your bike home. 🍻
The best place to dock your Pronto is in Occidental Park on Occidental Ave S & S Washington St. Every once in a while this station gets full but there's also two other convenient locations nearby: King Street Station and 6th & King. We always use the Spotcycle app to find which stations are available before we head out. We'll be cruising down to cheer on the Rave Green today, hope to see plenty of other riders on the way. Go Sounders!
We are super excited to be partnering with Pronto Cycle Share on a series of blog posts in exchange for annual memberships. Read more here:
